Umlani Bushcamp is a rustic, off-the-grid safari lodge located in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park.

The camp features 8 traditional Eco Huts crafted from brick and mortar with thermal insulation properties, keeping them warmer in winter and cooler in summer. With open-air en-suite bathrooms, each hut provides simple, comfortable accommodation that connects you to the surrounding bush.

There are no fences separating the camp from the surrounding wilderness, allowing wildlife to roam freely through the area.

Umlani operates entirely on solar power and is a proud advocate of sustainable, low-impact tourism. Evenings are spent sharing stories around the fire or enjoying communal dinners under the African sky.

Kakuli is a seasonal bush camp located high above the Luangwa River.
Kakuli is a + 2.5-hour game drive transfer from Mfuwe and a 2-hour boat transfer.

A lovely thatched chitenje acts as the centre of camp. It is on a wooden deck overlooking the grazing lawn that leads down to the two rivers and is a perfect spot in which to relax and watch the river and the wildlife meander by.

Four spacious traditional safari tents overlooks the river with stunning views up and down this hippo-packed stretch of the Luangwa.

Take in the panoramic views of the river from your private verandah, listening to the calls of nearby hippos and watching the giraffes and elephants that stop by for a drink.

Kafunta River Lodge is located on the floodplains of the Luangwa River. During the peak season the lodge accesses the national park via its own pontoon.

Central to the lodge is a spacious bar and dining area, built around a semi-evergreen wild mango tree and thatched in the traditional style. Kafunta offers panoramic views over the Luangwa River and the South Luangwa National Park.

Adjacent to the bar is a refreshing infinity pool and the only natural hot spring tub in the Luangwa Valley. This unique hot tub is fed from a source on Kafunta’ s grounds, offering a constant temperature of 38 degrees.

The South Luangwa National Park marks the end of the Great Rift Valley, one of the last remaining unspoilt wilderness areas and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa.

Luangwa River Camp sits nestled under an ancient ebony grove on the banks of the Luangwa River overlooking the game rich area known as the Luangwa Wafwa.
This small and intimate camp with just five bush suites, along with its setting and location creates a real “wow” factor and a romantic feeling simply flows through the camp.

The subtly decorated bush suites with brick walls and thatch roof each have ensuite bathrooms with sunken bathtubs looking out onto your own private corner of Africa. Both the bedroom and bathroom have large sliding doors leading onto a decked area allowing a lovely breeze into the room and great views onto the river.

Shawa Luangwa Camp is situated on the eastern bank of the Luangwa River.
From this beautiful location, you can cross the river on a pontoon or boat and explore the prime game-viewing areas of the South Luangwa National Park.

The Shawa luxury couples tents each melt away into the stillness and greenery of the surrounding trees, creating natural privacy and peace.

Between morning and evening safari activities, pass the time on your river-front deck watching everything change colours as the sun moves towards the horizon.

The camp’s plunge pool is perfect for spending the hottest parts of the day looking out for an elephant or kudu that just may be passing by the camp.

Kaingo Camp is located within the South Luangwa National Park.

Kaingo Camp offers six tranquil thatch rooms nestled discretely along the banks of the Luangwa River. The spacious and beautifully styled rooms feature comfortable king size beds, solar powered charging points and fan, indoor shower and indulgent outdoor bathtub. Guests can also enjoy the additional outdoor shower and bathtub, taking in the sights and sounds of the river. The suite also comes with its own private guide & vehicle, butler service and the option of private dining.

Three of our world-famous hides are just a short drive from the camp. The towering Elephant Hide, sited at an ancient elephant crossing point on the river; the Hippo Hide, built into the riverbank and offering a breath-taking, eye-level perspective of our resident hippo pod; and the Carmine Bee-Eater Hide, available from early September once the Carmines have established their nesting sites.

Chongwe Camp is located along the Chongwe River which winds through the forested valley meeting with the mighty Zambezi River.

Each luxury tent has a panoramic view along the Chongwe River, a spacious open-air bathroom, a porch with comfortable lounge chairs.

The wildlife hide is great for photography and for spotting rare nocturnal creatures.

Potato Bush Camp is a family friendly camp in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park.

The 3 safari tents are spacious with en-suite bathrooms (twin showers, twin basins and a full size four-claw bath tub).
Large Rosewood folding doors lead onto a verandah which hosts a 2-person hammock and a private plunge pool overlooking the Zambezi River.
The family tent has 2 bedrooms with an en-suite, private dining and lounge area with a large verandah and plunge pool.
